14 km of wide beaches and very fine golden sand, awarded several times with the prestigious European Green Flag, the green of the maritime pine trees and the palm trees with its long walks and the cycling track... This and much more make Tortoreto Lido one of the most beautiful and interesting seaside resorts of the Abruzzo coastline. In a privileged position on a hill, two Km. from the coast is the historical centre, rich of artistic treasures and of panoramas of the coast and of the sweet hilly landscape up to the close mountain. The entertainment is guaranteed by the bowling green, the riding school, and by the several tennis courts of the sport centre. During the summer season the town is enlivened by the musical, dancing and sporting events, by food events such as the Sagra delle vongole (feast of the clams) and the ones of the traditional dishes and the Abbuffata di pesce (feast of the fish) together with a weekly antique open market along the main street of town. The evenings are enlivened by music, animation and dancing in the bars along the beach. Tortoreto Lido is only a few km away from the Val Vibrata motorway exit near which is the big shopping centre named after it.

"A big park with a sea view". This slogan fully reflects the charme of the Abruzzo Region. The sea and the mountains, an hour away from each other, and between these two extremes the sweet hills with their old towns rich of culture, traditions and artistic treasures. The famous pottery in Castelli, the fortress of Civitella, the artistic cities of Teramo, Atri or the region chief town L'Aquila - here we are already in the Parco Nazionale d'Abruzzo, with its breathtaking and still unspoiled landscapes. With more than 1/3 of protected surface, Abruzzo is the “Green Region of Europe”. The profile of the mountains - of which the Gran Sasso is the most conspicuous (2912 m.) reflects into the lakes; here live bears, chamois, otters, lynxes and wolves. In the most secluded valleys you can find medieval hermitages and religious refuges sculpted in the rock. For the lovers of underground landscapes the Grotte di Stiffe, offer a spectacular view. The Sabbia d’Oro Residence is not only the ideal starting point to discover this fascinating region but also to travel daily to Rome, the Tremiti Islands or to pilgrimage places such as San Giovanni Rotondo, Loreto or Assisi.
